Fort Knox Inn Bucksport, Bucksport

My stay at the hotel was amazing. The rooms were nicely equipped and clean, with an awesome view. The location was perfect for exploring other points in Maine, offering a wonderful view. The dining experience with individually packaged items in the morning could improve, but the homemade rolls were a nice touch.

I had a lovely stay at the hotel with some great aspects but also a few drawbacks. The rooms were incredibly clean and had a refrigerator and microwave, which was convenient for me as I shared amenities with my companion next door. The service was exceptional, from helpful recommendations to friendly interactions. The location provided a nice view and easy access to the shoreline trail, although a bit small for multiple guests. The dining experience was subpar with no seating available in the lobby, but the hot sandwiches were decent.

Our stay at the Fort Knox Inn was a mix of positive and negative experiences. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean, offering a decent size and adjoining feature, but there was a lack of daily room servicing requiring us to request clean towels and manage some tidying ourselves. The service was hospitable and accommodating, with a kind gesture of upgrading us to a river view room, though there were indications that the staff might have been having an off day. The location was excellent, providing great scenery and easy access to the waterfront, with stunning views of the river, Fort Knox, and the Penobscot Narrows Bridge, as well as being conveniently located downtown with proximity to major attractions. However, the dining options were limited for specific dietary requirements, and the experience may not cater well to all diets.
